I am going to install the MKIV rear brakes on my MKIII. A couple questions to those that have done this modification:

1. The write-up on MKIIITECH says the MKIII lines work with the MKIV calipers. However, the MKIV caliper has a banjo bolt fitting while the MKIII line has a threaded-end. Does this work as claimed? How is the seal performed (without gaskets)?

2. Is there a helicoil insert that can be added to the MKIV caliper to convert the threads to the MKIII bolt size? This would eliminate having to bore out the hub.
