I've got 225/50R16 up front and 245/50R16 in the back. can't help you with the weight though.SupraDreamPDR said:anyone figure this out yet? also, i just picked up a set of these without tires and would like to know what size tires everyone is using. should i just stay with the original stock size? will i need spacers to put these on?
thanks.
255s? and no rubbing issues, are you lowered at all? also, could you guys post up a side pic of your cars with the rims mounted?meagainstheworld said:Not sure how much they weigh, but I have them on my baby, and I have 255/50/16s on the back, and they fit just fine. no problems, no spacers. should be able to go to at least 275, but that's a guess. I've got 225s on the front.

thanks. i think i am going with 225s for the front and 255s for the rear.mk3forme said:i have 275/35/18 on the rear with no rubbing at all and my car is lowered. Not on supra rims though but just to give you an idea of sizes you would be safe with.
true, but the NA rims are 16x8 in the front and 16x9 in the rear. i guess i will have to "try" and not chew up the backs.... :biglaugh: :biglaugh:Allan_MA70 said:better to have same front and rear so you can cycle your front to the back and get new fronts... we all know supras chew the rears

well i got them mainly because they were priced great. couldnt pass up the deal. plus i will probably use them as street driving rims for awhile and then switch the rears to drag racing use with 255 drag radials. i think they look good, but to each their own i guess.supra90turbo said:MKIV 16's look gay!
If you want to stick with 16" wheels, and want light ones, then pick up some FD RX7 wheels. 16x8 and 16x9 I believe. IIRC they're like 16lbs/ea.
Oh, and the kicker? They look great!
way cheaper, got them for a good deal. i can always change down the road.silent_sniper said:Im sorry but i have to ask why not after market rims?
i am pretty sure they are 9" in the rear.Allan_MA70 said:interesting the JZA80 NA rims I had where 16x8 all round!
