What psi on a stock ct26 is good to beat out a slightly modded srt-4 (intake exhaust) and stock weight for the supra?? I have the lex, 550's, greddy e-01 boost controller, and 2 1/2 hard pipes. I am just about to put it on the road and I just want to give the srt guys a good look at what the back of a supra looks like. Thanks, josh

Most of the guys here probably don't have a lot of experience with SRT 4's, but a buddy of mine ran a modded SRT4 with $4k in mods and it didn't even bust into the 13's.

Realistically, you should probably try to search around for posts regarding safe pressures on the CT-26. I know there are tons of them out there, just try to find some of them.

Good luck!

Also, just go run the thing! If you lose, turn the boost up until you break it, rebuild it and then run it some more...:)

I did remember seeing people saying that anything more than 14psi and your just blowing hot air. But then I see that people are running 18psi.... unless that was with an upgraded ct-26

I agree with 14-15 psi. SRT's are pretty quick for the first couple hundred feet, but not very impressive up top with minimal mods like he has.:nono: 7m torque will get you a win!:naughty:

I dont believe it. Although I hate srt4's they can do 13's with very little mods(local friend has one as a DD). Your buddy must be a horrible driver

from experience racing two different srt-4's, they r really nothing special. both were 5 spd, had basic uggrades. bov, intake, exhaust. and i just tooled them through every gear. my mods are only intake, exhaust (DDP,testpipe, cooleeze catback), hardpipes. stock everything else. raced at 11 psi and yea.. my cars putting down ~320rwhp (dynod at 307rwhp before putting on DDP)

Then there must be alot of horrible drivers with SRT-4's!:biglaugh: I've seen them at the track, and the stockers were all in the low 14's, with the slightly modded ones in the very high 13's. Almost everyone I know that has a Supra, runs mid 13's and under!:icon_bigg

So like I said, If they run low 14's stock then how in the hell would it take $4k to break 13's? LOL :dunno:

Like I stated Im not a fan of the car I was only replying to someone's statement above that his buddy couldnt break 13's with $4k invested. thats all..... I dont own a srt4 nor would I ever..lol

that's an unusally high amount of horsepower with such little mods. I hope i'll yield the same results. Then I wouldn't even have to put on the lex/550 and save me a boat load of money.

all the ones running at nopi ran 14.2 to around 13.9 may have been drivers but they stop pulling at higher speeds, if the driver is an amateur he can help you win by messing up his launch if he screws the launch you win.

well I killed a modded SRT4 at the track. Intake, exhaust, bov, msd wires. We both didnt get much traction on the line but he caught before i did and I was at his back bumper. Once I got to 3rd it was over. Not even mid track it seemed like he just shut down. I know he didnt misshift cause i hear him bov and catch gear. They are great down low. Mid range and top they arent.

A friend of mine just put a fairly large intercooler on his and ran a 13.8 and thats about the only thing he did to it. No intake, no exhaust

yea i mean they r for sure quick cars. but im about 1200 into mine. intake/exhaut/hardpipes. and i ran a 14.0 @ 102 mph with a 2.2 60 ft (was my FIRST time at the track) so i mean bang for your buck, supra still wins :D and if it was longer then a 1/4 mile, say to the top of 4th, im sure a supra would just keep pulling on the srt
