the only other engine besides the 1J I would remotely consider to swap would be the 1GZ-FE...only because it's like slapping two I-6's together and calling it a V engine.

that is, if I actually had the money for one...

i was hoping if they actually come out with another "supra" they would create a new I6 engine ;)

from what we got at toyota, they wont be out till 2008, it is possible they will have a tt v8.

and thats the concept, i got a glimpse of picks of the production one, its a bit nicer, but still not a supra in my eyes, i like the mkiii.

mkiv looks like a damn jellybean celica clone with a long nose........

My personal thoery: It will be the new SC350 and SC500, replacing the SC430, and becoming the new Toyota Soarer in Japan.

I like it a lot!

I've seen plenty of other pictures, these pictures are new, but not really new, surprised this hasn't been posted here yet. Thought it had.

In any case, the proposed engines are the 2GR-FSE from the IS350 and the 2UR-FSE, an enlarged version of the 1UR-FSE in the new LS-460.

IF that were to carry the Supra name, I hope the car gets refined more. It looks too much like other popular imports and not as unique as the Supra has always been. Unfortunately, I don't think a new Inline 6 will ever make it's way to Toyota, and to me a Supra without an Inline 6 is like a Corvette station wagon.

I'm pretty sure they were maybe just not after the hack
I'm at odds with the design not bad but not good either, kinda blah
It's like a mixture of all the popular cars right now

Don't think they're that old, haha.

More like 2-3 months old.

I agree. MKIVs prices are gonna be going way down in '08. Maybe I'll buy one then. Then again, maybe not. I'll stick with MKIIIs. Lol.

i am very enthused about this car. I son't know why not many of you aren't excited about the continuation of one of your favourite car lines. Wiether you buy it or not, it just shows that the supra won't die. You can still enjoy your mk3's and know that they are gone forever and are special in that way, but to know that the Supra is still evolving, still trying to forge anew and fight the competition, I personally love that feeling.
