hey guys just thought I would make a intro thread, My name is Dom I'm 21 and my mk3 is the 5th car I've owned so far. I started off with a 98 altima, then a 1990 240sx, got rid of the 240sx and ended up buying another black 1990 240sx. Then I got a 2001 altima during that time as well to fix up and sold that for money to modify the 240sx! I loved the 240sx a lot over the 3 years I owned it I had the frame rails redone, rear floor board and exhaust hangers made from scratch, full 3" stainless apexi n1 exhaust, dynotune nitrous kit dry and a few other bolt ons. I bought an sr20det from a s14 silvia with intentions of putting it in the 240sx until a few months ago I traded the 240sx for my 1987 supra.

So now I have this mk3 supra, previous owner claims rebuild on jdm 7mgte said there was new oem pistons in the block, the head did look very clean! body is very straight very minimal surface rust, frame and underbody looks amazing... I was very shocked with how clean it was under there considering every car down here is rotted to shit! The only downside was the paint job was crap and needed to be redone but I have always been interested in learning how to paint a car. I ended up doing a straight up trade with my friend with the exception that I get my stereo back from the 240sx.
Now I'm driving the supra and loving it because I have never had a turbocharged car before...I was loving every minute of it I didnt even get to bed that night.. I was driving the supra hard until around 6am I heard a loud "screaming" and then thought oh fuck my car isn't making boost now i think I blew the turbo! Well that didnt last long a week later I change the ct26 for a fresher one. Back in business! drove about 500km and went to the beach.. Just loved the car. On my way home from the beach a rattling noise st arted I didn't really know what to think about it but I was concerned. then the noise started to even louder it sounded so similar to engine knock I was about to cry then I noticed when I push the clutch pedal in the sound goes away or at least got quieter... that led me to believe there could be a problem with the release bearing, the next day it was so bad that after pushing the clutch in first and shifting to second i would have to pull the pedal up with my foot it wouldnt go back by it self. So now i have a dead slave yay... more shit to buy. Just got around to getting the engine out few weeks ago inspected the clutch it looked ok but i ended up just getting another xtd stage 3 replacement disk for $80 shipped to me. Up until now I really had no clue of waht was going on until my friend recommended that i take the flywheel off and inspect the pilot bearing. So i goto undo the flywheel and the bolts were finger tight!! that made me quite angry to go through all that trouble because someone didn't torque the bolts down properly!
I will be putting it all back together soon and hope to have it done around mid october. The only thing holding me back is I lost my job and need to buy new intake manifold gaskets, a slave cyl and the release bearing as well as pilot for the hell of it. Hopefuly ya'll don't have problems reading my post I know it is long lol.. Now I will send links to pics of my supra just basically in order from when i got it then there is a few pictures of the motor coming out, and I also repainted the valve covers and intake manifold The last pics are of my engine bay I used a shit ton of oven cleaner and a pressure washer its so much cleaner now but it still needs a bit more scrubbing

oh I forgot to say my plans for the supra.. Basically once the engine and tramsission are installed and working fine I am going to get the car repainted my self with 040 super white! I'm hoping I can still do it before the temperatures drop to low! Plans after that are new megan racing downpipe, stock turbo elbow for now , and a full catback exhaust system from ebay I would just change the muffler. Car has 550cc injectors and lexus afm, aem wideband, lots of neat gauges too Next season I would love to save for a set of coil overs and get tires that actually fit my impul wheels well once the car is equipped with coil overs and other suspension goodies I will be trying to fit some kind of big t4 series master power turbo under the hood I still haves lots of research to do but was considering the master power t66. The car interior is completly stripped but I have most of the components I will be cleaning it up and putting it back together as well as working on a door pod for the front!
