Hi, My name is James, from Minnesota and I am a new forum member here and would like to intro my self and my new ride. I picked up a 1990 Turbo Supra Targa 5 speed roller for 1,000 off Craigslist. I don't know much about these Supra's, but I wanted to introduce myself, the car, hopefully make some new friends and have a good time here! I've been researching for about 3 months about swaps, and still not sure whether to go 2jz NA-t, or to hopefully land a good JDM 2jzgte somehwhere. I recently bought a mkIII r154 for 614 shipped on its way. The carpet was stained, and had a ladybug factory goin' on inside, but now I vacuumed out all of my good luck! Dyed the carpet black, but that's as far as I'm going to go with dyeing. I'm not ASE Certified, or a Tech by any means, but I'm extremely determined and have complete faith in myself to make this a great car for as long as my wallet stitches hold together! I have a small budget laid away for this car, so bar any stupid purchases I may get into, I hope to have a running car by next summer. Car originally titled in Fl., then went to Wi. then since 2009 in MN I believe, Then I bought it. If anyone knows the history of this car would you help me out thanks.
Car came with a huge banged up front mount, (I got carpel tunnel straightening fins with a flathead), tokico illuminas II w tems, ST Front and Rear sways, ABS, full interior, some extra 7m parts, but mostly N/A Stuff when I went thru it haha, sigh facepalm for my stupidity oh well. I wanted a t-top, targa ride. Rear Pass sway tab snapped already yay. I see my first welding job to do hehe. Hope the LSD is in serviceable condition still.
So here's some pics. Tell me what you think, I really need the critique or hate, good or bad, I would like to get an idea of where I'm at! Thanks to anybody who peeks in here and comments!
