Mikey's 87 Supra T Rebuild.

I Been meaning to post my build for a long time just have not had time to.
Just want to thank everyone on the forum for all the helpful info.

Little info on the car...
I bought it from a lady up in Jacksonville FL a year ago. Picked it up for 500 bucks 85K miles on it. As usually it had a BHG and she let it sit for 3 years full of water. Long story short the motor was a boat anchor. Pulled it out and purchased a JDM motor to rebuild found for 400$ with everything.

Since I got the car I have painted the car which I wish I had before after pics of the car but I don’t. I have pics of the motor that came out and the start of the motor I building now.

Engine being rebuilt with:
ACL bearings
ARP all the way around.
NPR pistons.
Cometic 2.0mm HG
Engine has been fully worked at Machine Shop all the good stuff for a rebuild.
Oil pump is new with special coating on the impellers and housing.

Parts on the shelf waiting to go on:
Bic 3in DP
MSD wire
LEX/AFM
550 RC injectors
2.5 IC piping and intercooler
Stage 3 clutch F1
aero , FPR
walbro 255
AEM wideband
10 row oil cooler - oil filter relocator.
ARC BOV recert.
CT26 - 57trim
HKS cat back 3 in
Flex a Lite Fan Got them with 2 front seats for 80$ what a deal.



Here’s some photos of my car and engine. I mixed a batch of house of color paint I had laying around for the block came out real nice. Hard to see the color fade in photos but you get the gest of it.

Ya looks good. I like the paint on the motor its going to be hard to keep it clean tho. I hope you have taken that stupid looking thing off the back window, to white trash for me sorry

Funny you say that I took that photo to sell the back window shade sold it for 200$ and baught my oil pump. No freakin way ill sport around town with that.

Update 6/6/10: Motor in car. Waiting for hoses to come back from hose shop to fire it up.

The car is finally completed for now. After 2 years of saving up and putting things together slowly it’s on the road. Only few minor things left,- tie wrap a few things and a good buff job. Had a few electrical problems from the car setting for 2 years but, solved after a few weeks of reading in the TSRM.

Performing engine break in as we speak 175 miles on it so far Oil pressure and everything checks good so far. 14 psi at idle and 42psi at 2,500 RPM on castrol 30w OP Temp. That’s after jdubs full flow system and Kraizen Oil pump with coated housing and gears.

Thanks again everyone on the forum for putting together information with problems they have had. It has helped out a lot with a little bit of reading.
