might get a cressida!!

So I have been wanting a cressida since befor I got into supras but gave up the idea looking for one/building one since it's a lot of money and parts are hard to find.But the other day I was by the movie theater with my girl and i saw that there was a cressida in a gas station and I've seen it there for awhile so I ask the guy if it was for sale and he said yea but there's no motor in it so he told me 500$ so I looked at it real quick and I told him I'll be back if not me one of my friends will take it.So I realy think I'm going to get it.The cars real clean and it is a 91.

Plans for the car:I plan on making it a nice old school DD the car might sit in my garage for a few months butI plan on throwin a N/A with a 5 speed trans,some fat 5 spoke wheels,and tein lowering springs(for now till I could get some good coil overs)This should be good for now I have big dreams for the car but i can't afford to have two projects I could barley afford the supra.

So I'll keep you guys posted wish me good luck.

the stock body doesn't look to spectacular, even with the lowering springs it will look like it sits really high because of the body.

this is all stock with koni adjustable shocks with Kings lowering springs. it already sits pretty low.

Yes, that looks like a SR-20 from a nissan.

i found my cressida for $175, no motor, but it had a tranny and clean interior/exterior... now im buildin it up as a nice luxury DD..

I've wired up a few 2JZ and 1JZ Cressida swaps and they are awesome. I'm going to do one for myself one day, or possible a first gen GS300 like my '93.

Well i just don't know guys I really want to get the car trust me I do but somthings telling me not to not saying theres anything wrong with the car but I don't really have a lot of money and the supra needs a few things befor it hits the road.I still want to get it even if it sit in my garage for a lil bit cause I know I'll do somthing with it one day cause i love the car.

any ideas on what I should do?

there is a n/a running 88 supra I could pick up for 400$ I was thinking of getting that cause i need a few parts off it and as a parts car I think I'm going to get the supra but I will be taking out everything for the 5 speed swap and hey if dude man stil has the cressida a few months from now I'll have almost everything for it.

Doo It. tint windows, swap in turbo motor (2jz maybe:sarcasm: ), set of shoes on it, good wash and wax job, and make a sleeper, that can hall you and 3 other buddies in.

i picked up a 91 cressida grande with all the options from the original owner for a daily/sleeper nearly 8 months ago.It now has a 7mgte freshly built engine and performs very well, better than i expected for a grannys car.The grande came with l.s.d,a.b.s and a a340 tranny as standard as well as all the other usual luxury options.They make a good cheap runabout that also doubles as a good tow car, i say go for it

well I'm useing my 300th post for some bad news.I'm not getting the cressida now I know what your thinking why would he waste a thread on this and thats because I really thought i was going to get it and I still really want it but I really don't have the money for it but the money I have that I was going to use to get it I am buying a 88 supra n/a so I will be useing it as a parts car so maybe if I find another cressida I will have everything for the 5 speed swap.

But as for the car I was going to buy I'm sure it will find a good home I'm trying to get one of my friends to buy it my one friend has 3 cressidas and a 1J swap so I think he's going to pick it up.o well at least it found a good home and I should have one one day.
