hello all,

just got home from an all day trip up to the bay and guess what i brought home!:evil2: car looks good. no rust,150k (told me it had 100k shaved 300 for that:biglaugh paint is decent. interior smells like coffee but grey (like).

will get pictures tomorrow. need to sleep....

heres some pictures of the car. seems like everything has been baking for some time.

areas to address..

dash is cracked
weather stripping is peeling
paint is flaking (baked)
buttons peeling
tail light cracked
tires crap
rips, cracks and flaking of interior upholstery

all papers are in the car! even a factory supra cassette!

what was wierd is that the front of the cars paint up to the window is about 7/10, but once you look past that its only about 5/10? maybe the clear? i will try wet sanding it.

once my dad gets back from his trip i will bring the other car up to the shop and begin dropping the engine, heated power washer washing, trading parts, manual conversion, try wet sanding and maybe paint ,etc

at the shop now. i drove the white one here. getting the cars ready for their swamp.

before i started pulling the motor i tried checking a few things. being that the people i bought it from were pretty dumb i was hoping for something simple like a fuel pump, etc. well everything checked out besides a big ass breaker bar on the crank. shit did not move at all.

i have removed everything but the motor mounts, main fuel line, and P/S. after that the engine is ready to come out. i vented the a/c pump:cry:, i didnt want to but my dad was being a hard ass and said remove it. i said ,but dad what about the ozone and me along all the future generations? his reply? ill be dead by then so its not my problem. what an ass lol.

i called the guy about picking up the turbo clip from him this week. we had made a deal but that ass fucking sold it. hes like its not for sale anymore.

i should have taken more pictures. not allowed to have a phone so ya....

found another clip for even cheaper and waaay closer. harness is cut. turbo was already rebuilt(so he says). blew head gasket. hes willing to let me tear it apart and inspect it before i buy which is cool. hes throwing in the r154 trans too.

ill be up early tomorrow to work on the car. i plan on getting the motor out and then pressure wash everything.

i want to respray some parts of the car. all the chips and lightly on the faded area's which is pretty much from the front window to the back. will half a gallon work? dont want to go crazy just dont want it to rust in this new climate.i know the paint code is 3H1 does this include the gold flakes in it?

motors out. paint is crappier than i thought. if you wipe it with a clean towel paint is left on it like powder.

i might be parting out the white one down the road.

little update. only had 1 day to work on the car. started the same engine/trans removal process on the white car. goes so much quicker the second time around.

another thing,i will need my drive shaft from the white car correct?

also checked in with the guy that is holding the motor. deal is still on and he has no problem with a wait.

got the good engine in the red car. didnt go as smooth as i wanted. i was working at a good pace but my dad insisted i hurry up and forced me to accept his help. didnt really give a shit what i said or about the car and bent the tunnel near the shifter when he lowered the front end on the transmission when it was not aligned and i said to stop.

that fucking tard pissed me off today. i was also trying to swap the best parts to the new car and he said im wasting time and basically who cares just throw the old car away. i even argued with him cause he said not convert it to the 5 speed and the reason for all this? cause school starts monday.

next time i do this fuck him ill find another shop. sometimes he treats me more like a stranger than a son.:nono:

Good work on the car, your doing well, though it sounds like you have some father son issues? Remember you only get one real dad, make the most of him.

na hes just a hard ass lol.

car is home now. i noticed when its cold out it wont idle correctly and dies. can the throttle cable be the culprit? my abs lights on but i bet its the brakes needing to be bleed. you have to pump them when stopping lol.

im using redline mt-90 in my w58 and its butter. any recommendations on the rear end? i installed all my leds i ordered in the manual dash and the rest of the interior. looks nice!

i did a little pull and rechecked bolts.i love the feel of the lsd!

update,

changed thermostat,gasket, and rad cap and it solved all the cooling problems i have had. friend installed my radio for 20 bucks and i found nice brand new kenwoods in the white car:icon_bigg this car drives so much better than the white car!:love:


i have tried burping the heater core on a 45 deggre hill with no luck. whats wrong?

also im looking for lowering springs. either intrax or eibach. anyone have a picture of the drop with stock wheels? car is drivin 2-3 times a week my other dd is a bike.
