mhg is done now ive got hard starts

so i just finished putting a mhg in my 87 mkIII and it starts and runs for about three to five seconds and then just dies out it runs super smooth no knocking or or other noises it just inexplicably dies for no apparent reason any suggestions

Timing correct? revs fine?

cps and wiring/?

I would bet, incorrect cam or CPS timing.

i hope you didnt just slap a MHG on it...

And i bet its the timing

I'd double check timing first too, then look over all your vacuum lines and make sure they're all in their right places.
