Memory Timing

I have a somewhat older system that I'm going to throw a few more gigs of memory in.

I currently have 2 1 gig Corsair chips in dual channel. This is what I have: http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/twinx2048-3200c2.pdf


I'm going to buy two more sticks of 1 gig to run in dual channel giving me a total of 4 gig.

The stuff I'm going to buy is OCZ platinum.

My question is regarding latency.

My current memory runs 2-3-3-6

The memory I'm looking at runs 2-3-2-5


The other difference is that mine is advertised as 2.75 volts and the new stuff is 2.8 volts.


As far as the latency, the MB will just bring the OCZ down to the Corsairs level, right?

Everything will run at the slowest speed, provided by the SPD of the memory chips (unless you manually set your timings)

Higher numbers = slower speeds, when it comes to latency.
