I'm making up my own mbc from brass fittings and I have everything I need, and I finally found some springs small enough to hold a ball bearing. The only problem is that the springs are really stiff. I know thats a pretty bold statment but I dont really know how to explain the stiffness. These springs are of pretty high quality. Will putting a stiffer spring in the mbc make it really hard to dial in because adjustments will be so small? I did also just realize that a spring from any ball point pen will work with a little streching, but that spring seems almost too flimsy and wouldnt really be reliable. Any thoughts?
