MBC irregularity

I developed a new problem today. I just replaced my cracked lower intercooler piping with the speed source kit. This solved the boost leak I had been experiencing but now I have a new problem.

I took the car for a test drive. During this drive the boost level would change from 10 lbs (MBC setting) to 5-6 lbs (stock). When I am in a gear at constant acceleration, the boost pressure would reach and maintain one of the two levels. I don't know what is causing this change in boost pressure. Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks

If you had a boost leak you realy cant compare how your car is acting to then. But, I have had experiences like that with MBCs. They are sometimes hard to dial in and I found would change depending how hot it is out. I would strongly suggest an electronic boost controller when you can save the cash. but just keep adjusting it till you get what you are looking for. It wont be perfect but it'll get the job done. By the way, do you happen to have an aftermarket boost gauge?

I had the MBC before, during and after the boost leak. The settings have not been changed since install. I also have a Stewart Warner boost gauge.

I think that the problem may be related to heat. When I went out for a drive at night, the problem was gone. I will drive around more today and see if it happens again. I hate it when problems fix themselves...cause they aren't really fixed.
