ive had some moments in my life where i have thought i might be losing it, then i remember websites like the timecube and other similar sites and i realize, these are the people who are seriously whacked out. i cant imagine what must be going through these peoples minds.

It's not just the Mayan calendar that ends on that Day/year, the I-Ching does as well, and other ancient civilizations prophesied the same 'end'. It might not be the end of the world per se, but something catastrophic is supposed to happen. Some believe a shift in the poles, which would fuck all kinds of shit up. Not sure if any of this is stated in the link of the first post, but this is going off of a show on the Discovery Channel...or History Channel, can't remember...LOL!
