Anyone running 18' btdc on 93 octane? I understand the recommended advance is 14-16 but I also know there are a lot of regions that do not supply 93 (including a majority of california where a lot of this information comes from)

Check out the topic I made on timing. It has good stuff in it, but the usual "limit" I think is around 16. I can't really say much since I'm never going to plan on running 18 btdc

Why would you need to adjust your timing that much...................:dunno:

Yea, why so much??

If the knock sensor hears pinging, it will tell the ECU, thus retarding the timing anyway.

I run 15*, using 89 gas in summer, and 87 in winter.

NO troubles.
