map ecu question

I'm not yet familiar with the electronic portions of this swap.(1j) Is the map ecu a seperate ecu than the main ecu? I have the main ecu, getting ready to buy a map sensor. Please keep in mind, I'm only looking for the 350 h.p. range and plan on reach ing that w/y-dp combo, k/n and a dyno tune.So I don't want to stray too much from stock if possible.

The MAP ecu is a standalone computer that's aftermarket. There is no ecu for the map sensor.

the map ecu is a piggy back computer, it is popular with 7m guys cause it deletes there air flow meter (afm).
