Just purchased a TurboXS MBC :icon_bigg and I have searched the forums for about an hour with no luck. :aigo:

My questions are as follows:

MBC
1- Do I Tee the Wastegates actuators together as well as the Compressor part to the MBC?

BOV(aftermarket HKS)
2- Where to connect vacuum line?

Boost Gauge(Autometer regular,1 vacuum line only)
3- What vacuum line do I connect to ?

I have rebuilt turbos and would like to enjoy them before I sell the car.

:1zhelp:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has pictures please post them or send them to ebayrick@bellsouth.net.

Thanks.

On stock injectors, I personally would not put on a MBC, I'm hitting 12psi with a downpipe and catback, stock 7m cat, and im spiking to 14psi at night.

Ok Got the MBC and BOV installed. Thanks for your help.

I tried connected the gauge to every vacuum I could find and it would not read pressure. I tried blowing through the tube to see if the needle moves and after almost bursted a lung the needle moved to about 4psi. So I beleive the gauge is working.
I hear the bloff off going when I rev the engine but The gauge still does not read boost pressure. Any sugestions?

As far a not putting a MBC on stock injectors I don't drive the car but once every other weekend and I am loking for some MKiV's. Thanks for the heads up though.

if its a mechanical boost gauge all u have to do is hook it to any vacuum line on the intake manifold.... if your gauge doesnt work when u hook it up, well then you either have a bad gauge (unlikely) or dont have it on the right line.... your gauge should read negative psi while idle and 0 out when not runnning then obviously when u build boost yata yata yata

It doesn't have negative psi. I have tried several vacuum lines with no luck. I justr bought the gauge yesterday from a reputable place in town.

Thanks for everyone's help. :icon_bigg

Everything is working now. I will take some pics tomorrow. I set the boost to 14psi. Now to fix that leaking water pump.

what ended up being the issue with the boost gauge?

I don't know. While the car was parked the boost gauge did not read. I took it for a test spin and the gauge jumped to 20 and I immediately let off the gas. When I pulled over I turned down the MBC to about 14psi. Then gauge is still not working unless I am driving.

Does it read any vac? IIRC I'm at 10" when sitting, 0"/0psi-5" when cruising and when I let off the throttle, im at 20"

He mentioned his boost gauge does not have vacuum scale.

I'm not seeing anything wrong with its function. It reads pressure when he drives.

Are you on SF as well? Your name looks familiar.

anyways thanks for the help. Next week I will tackle the water pump then its going for sale. I need to make money and room for my new car.
