making a 7mgte from a 7mge

I have a non turbo 89 supra, and was wanted to get a 7mgte engine. im not much of a skilled mechanic, and was wondering a few things.:1zhelp:


1- can i buy the turbo parts and put them on my 7MGE to practically make it a 7MGTE


2 - ive found a few 7MGTE engines online, could i take my 7MGE engine out and put that one in? would i have complications? would it even physically fit?


3 - or would i be better off just putting aftermarket turbo parts on my 7MGE. (i would just do this, but most turbo parts i find were made for the 7mgte)

the motors are the same with the exceptions of the intake cam, the compression ratio None turbo is i believe 9.4:1? and the turbo is 8.5:1? also the wiring harnesses are different there are two knock sensors on the turbo block and only one on the N/A block. the turbo block has oil squirters and the N/A doesn't. and then you would need a turbo ecu so it can read that there is boost. the turbo motor goes right in. so for the most part they are the same motor with a few minor things that are different.
