My RX-7 has a switch to keep the pop up lights up all the time, unfortunatly the supra does not. I like the look of the headlights when they stay up all the time but I just figured out how to make the supra also. Turn the headlights on, unplug the plug in the pic and turn off the headlights wala!

Not really followin ya captain. you can keep the headlights up while they are off by just turning them on and then turning them one or two notches back down.

HAHA...I really don't know why you would want to keep them up either but keeping the headlights up is going to decrease the gas milage at all....or was that a joke?

Its less aerodynamic with the lights up, therefore, probabaly an un-noticable difference in gas mileage, but some nonetheless.

i know it effects the drag of the car, and the overall top speed with lights up vs lights down... i am just making an assumption that gas milage will go down also...

headlight switch has 4 positions.
pos 0 nutin.
pos 1 still nutin.:icon_conf
pos 2 does parking/running lights. :naughty:
pos 3 up come the headlights and driving lights become operational:aigo:

when tuning off:
1st click= headlights/running lights off (but stay in the up position)
2nd click = parking/running lights off
3rd click = headlights return to closed position.

and if you time it right you can make the headlights stay up anywhere between fully open and closed position with all lights off (stoned supra look).:evil2:

i would say they the cost to fill up would be the same with head lights up or down!! , lol, however the number of mile you travel on a tank would decline. but im sure your right, it wont matter much..

Not the same car, but my 85 Toyota MR2 was getting 41 mpg on the highway at 80 during the daytime and then dropped to 36 mpg at night with the lights up. So yes there is, in fact, a difference. This was a constant trip from SW Oklahoma to northern AL.

In my Supra if you leave the lights "on" all the time they will stay up. And when you turn the car off they stay on til you open the door. So just leave them in the on position and when you open the door they should go off.

Toyota always has a way to have the lights up but off, so you can change them, or for in the winter so they don't freeze, etc.

When turning the lights off, leave them on the first position, everything is off, with the lights up.

durr, i dont get it???

you could also just turn the lights on and off going through all three clicks over and over and wach as the selenoids stop rising and lowering in synchronization and have the left go up as the right goes down. pretty amusing to get the attention of the car infront of you at a red light.
