i got rod knock on my block and im going to be replacing the main bearings is there anything that i have to do before i put the new main bearings in and also should i get an oversized bearing or just replace my fried bearings with stock size main bearings?

aslo what do you think about King engine bearings?

ummmmm
since your going to pull the engine and disassemble it, why not consider rod bearing, main bearing and rings. While your at it take it to a shop that has worked on 7m-gte engines. They will check the block and crank for you and tell you what size and such.

Just a suggestion, as there is so much more to this topic to consider.

my machinist has my motor and will have to machine my rod and crank due to the rodkock.
U can see the small hammer marks on the rod when you remove the bearing.I was going to run clevite77's but have decided to go with the kings.Ive got kings in this current motor (20thou oversize and .25mm undersize crank due to spun bearing+rodknock)
