I'm an old hot-rodder from that era, disgusted with the escalation of muscle car prices from dog and pony shows like Barrett-Jackson. Bought my first Supra, an 84 MK2 in 87, compared it to my 66 SS I was forced to sell in 85, and was blown away by the superior engineering. I rebuilt a lot of engines from about 1973 through 1990. I never once took apart an American engine with out using a ridge-reamer to remove the pistons. I never once took apart a Japanese engine where I had to use a ridge-reamer. It is no wonder our American auto companies have struggled against the foreign competition. I now own Toyota cars, a truck and a van, 2 Subaru�s and a Mercedes. I also have an 84 Vette in my garage that is the biggest piece of crap I have ever worked on, it will soon be gone. Love my mk2 and mk3s, like I know you do.
