First of all i am going to be installing my maft that has been sitting around for a couple months

I recently replaced my headgasket and a bunch of other small stuff, and i am finnaly finished putting most of it together, i however want to install my maft basic gen 1 and 3.5 gm sensor

I found some usefull information on the installation of the unit, that is not the problem, however, basic tuning is

To have a very primitive yet safe tune, can i just follow the initial setup and select the 3.5 gm sensor and then leave the system alone?

I will be running 440's with the 3.5 sensor, if you need more information just post as i am sure there is more to it

you can pretty much just plug it in and set it per the instructions.

you might want to monitor the Vf signal to ensure you aren't too far off....

I assume you don't have AFR monitoring capability? I would take it easy on the boost until you know what your AFR looks like. IMO, the 3.5" MAF is too big for a mild setup but I can't say for sure. I think you would run a little lean with the 3.5/440 combo. If that happens when you tune you can set the MAF-T to a smaller injector and it will increase the injector duty cycle.

Its a Pretty Easy setup and yes, It would be easier to use a 3" GM sensor instead of a 3.5". When I ran mine with the 440s, I left everything at 0....ie

Idle "0"
Mid "0"
WOT "0"
Just ensure that the Mode Switch is set for the Appropriate sensor
Set the Base at 2 for 440cc Injector setting
And if you want to Disable fuel cut, Set the AUX to C.

I ran this setup for quite some time. It would be very helpful if you had a wideband so If you need to Adjust the Idle 5% then you can see where your A/F ratio is....

It works great but again, I think a 3.5" Sensor is a Overkill..... Try it though, It might work but you might have to make some Percentage Adjustments to Compensate. If you need any help with it, Send me a PM with your Number and I will be Happy to give you a Buzz
