MAFT Install write up mistake

tord the bottom where it gives you a print out of the wire connectors where it says "actual photo goes here" it shows to connect the IGN wire to the 3rd slot to the left on the medium sized connector (black wire). In the photo however it shows to connect it to the green wire thats on the larger connector in a completly different spot! what is it!??

what photos you need? i have a pre-89 car, it'a a auto...

but willing to take some pictures if you need them for you write up, looks really good and will help me double check my connections..

What one is it? According to the sketch its the black one that I spliced into, however like your pic (I know its for the later model) there IS a green and red wire and it ALSO happens to be 3 spaces in like the sketch says if u flip the computer around but if it was that one then the sketch would be wrong because it would not be the clip side (where the clip connects to the computer) sounds confusing but its not lol the only thing that got me thinking was the wirecolor is it just some BIG coincidence that if u flip it around there is the same wirecolor as yours 3 spaces and the tac sensor wires are always green anyway.... but the sketch says its the clip side hmm...
BTW I have a 88 manual

Do a search for MAFT PRO install. There is a write up by NJSupra or something like that, that has a diagram of the pre-89 ECU. Just use that, when comparing the install pics for the right connections.

The MAFT PRO install is a little different I just have the normal MAFT, waiting on grims responce =)

Can you get me a photo with the ECU on more of an angle, so you can see the beack side of the plugs a little better?

If I had to guess without having the ECU here in front of me, I'd say that it should be the one 4 wires over from the black one. If I had the car in front of me, I'd splice a test meter into that and see if the frequency matches the coil firing.

I didn't say install it like the MAFT PRO. I said, do a search and find the pre 89 ECU diagram. You can figure out what you need from there as you can compare it to the 89+ diagram. Not too hard.
