R and L in westwood. All I can say is they never screwed anything up for me. They are just a regular machine shop, but all I have ever had done is regular rebuilding processes. Just make sure you tell them exactly what you want like your piston to wall to be and such. JJ really is a pain to deal with so try to avoid him if possible.

Ceralli Competition Engines in Paterson. They are primarily domestic so keep that in mind when you are asking to have things done, but they are a hardcore racing engine shop and have been around since the 70s. They will do a lot for you and will charge a lot as well.

This thread is a bit old but I figured I would just comment..
I went to LRB Performance in Franklin, he did nice work and was really cool to get along with.
I had major block work done, bought several hundred dollars worth of parts...he even called a friend of his down South to get me a brand new head and valvetrain.
We assembled everything and it looked great.
Just ONE mistake...one of the 30mm freeze out plugs at the rear of the head, intake side, just fell out while slowly pulling into my drive way.
I called and told him and said he didn't get why one would just fall out, and when we found the plug and checked it out, it looked like it was an old one that he forgot to replace. My dad and I put a new one in and haven't had a problem again.
Overall they were pretty good, just one small mistake that could have caused a big problem.
