i was wondering how much an LSD would cost for my 89 N/A, i'm really interested in drifting and would love to get decent in my supra (not too common, i know it's a horrible platform for the sport but it's all i've got :aigo: )

i think i saw a few for around $200, how much would installation cost? i'm quite sure it's not a DIY job

i think its pretty dyi, straightforward. if you need prices, check the f/s section forsomeone parting them out.

Check local wrecking yards too. What you're looking for is either a turbo car or the N/A's with the sports package, easiest to find by looking for the headlight washers and TEMS unit.

in addition to that, check vin numbers. some NAs (including mine) didnt have the sport package but did have the lsd. i don't think it was a dealership option because the vin shows an lsd (should be the number 5 somewhere in the vin, search on the forums for location).

I'm just curious as to what my car has. It has tems, na. What can i do to see if it has an lsd?

If you wanna get under the car, I believe there is a sticker on the back of the pumpkin that says 'LSD oil only' or something. It maight be covered in soot, and im pretty sure theres an easier way.

Read the owners manual. There is a part on the Chassis plate that can tell you if you have an LSD or not.

i have an LSD on my NA, but no TEMS or ABS..

i have the plug for the ABS though, did toyota decide to leave it, or did the previous owner of my car disable it?

I guess I have the sports package, my dad said when he bought my car there weren't any options, but it was also one of the first ones in Chicago. I have the light for ABS, but don't have it, is there anyway to get it? I need it...

you could probably add the necessary components to have abs on your car. Almost everything is pretty much bolt on from one car to another when it comes to our supras

Yup possible but would take a bunch of time.. alot of time...
