By pos you mean posi-traction which was the name GM gave their limited slip differentials, there is no difference, they're both the same.

Much like "turbo-hydromatic transmission" is just an automatic transmission...

They are the same thing.

Depending on what your specifically talking about, there are many different styles. Toyota uses a clutch type and a torsen type. But it all boils down to "limited slip". Posi or positraction is domestic term for the same thing.
