hey guys, this really sucks that im asking this but has anyone ever ran into problems with lowering the car and it not sit right? ive lowered many cars but this is my first supra. well the front sits almost like stock and the back sits like its lowered. i have a 90 supra na with kyb gr2 and intrax springs. i put them on pretty easily without any problems. thought maybe i mixed something up so i checked the shocks and springs, fronts in front, rears in the rear. the only thing was i couldnt put on the front springs on the shock because the shaft didnt reach the top, so i took it to a shop to put together. does that sound right? anyone ever not be able to put on lowering springs without compressing them? anyone did intrax springs? any ideas or suggestions? i didnt cut the bushings, would that be the problem? could it be that my car doesnt have all that turbo stuff so its lighter in front? but that doesnt make any sense. sorry so long. thanks in advanced.

The weight difference between turbo and na is negligible. I do know that the spring rates for intrax are 700 lbs/in front and something like 220 lbs/in rear, and the difference in drop between front and rear is like .1". Might have to allow it some time to settle in, and see if the front is still higher than the rear.

You shouldn't have had to take the spring to a shop to have them put it on the shock. I know on the eibachs one end is just higher than the shock, but a little bit of weight would've done the trick.

There's no need to cut the bumpstops either. You have to look at the spring rates to understand whats happening there:

700lbs max front
220 lbs max rear

The drop difference is like .1". But the rears will compress more cause they are softer.

i dropped my car with adjustables and with it all the way down the front dropped like two three inches but the rear remained up. no settling at all

I had a set of intraxx springs on my burgundy supra, and now have a set of kyb gr2's and a set of b&g lowering springs, it took it awhile to settle, and i'm sure it will do more

I just put in my Intrax lowering springs and I have the same thing. The back looks nice and low, but the front looks stock...Definatly not the advertised 1.6"...

And I did have to compress all four to get the new springs on.

Just put them on yesterday, so I suppose I should wait for "settling"?

give it at least two weeks of good driving, that should get em seated and settled pretty good.

yep, i have intrax too. and the front does sit higher. i thought it was because of my stretched tires in the back but i guess its the springs. i've had em for about a month and a bit..i mean, it doesnt look rediculous, it just irritates me.
hey look at the bright side, it looks like your pulling strong all the time :p
ill give some measurements when i decide to go outside..
why this occurs? beats me. i have bigger problems to tackle right now.

DO NOT cut your springs. Wait for them to settle. Intrax are known to sag so give it some time and next thing you know you'll be complaining the fronts are too low =D

On a side note, all springs I've dealt with had to be compressed to assemble them. This isn't a Honda that weighs next to nothing ;)

rear

front
looks way worse in person

is it possible to put the shocks/struts on backwards? anyone with this problem? or is it just the springs?

i will probably get a new set.

H&R race springs!!! Nice ride and a very nice even stance.:icon_bigg

+1, I am super happy with my H&Rs. It took them a while to settle and my car got alot lower then when I first installed them.
