As of late, after my spark plug/oil change, I've been getting lower gas mileage then usual. I used to get around 24 when I had Royal Purple with my NGK copper spark plugs. Now I'm running Autolite 3393's and Q 10W-30 full synthetic oil, and now I'm getting 20-21 mpg. But one thing that I do know is that I'm sure my distributor and rotor could use replacing due to age, and I'm not even sure if they've been replaced in general. Should I try this and see if my mileage goes back up? If not, at least I replaced those parts.

get a wideband....... best $250 you'll ever spend. I have my maftpro configured to AF ratio of around 15.0-15.5 when cruising on the highway and I get aprox. 28-30mpg, city driving is more like 10-15mpg....

You will definitley get better mileage changing the rotor and the dist. cap. You'll actually feel the hp gain. Clean air filter would also fall into this category. It sounds like you just need to finish your tune up. Also on the dist cap and rotor...., go brass. It'll last longer than the cheap alluminum. MSD plug wires would help as well. Theyr'e around 100$

born2drv: I'm N/A, that would be a waste of money. ;)

ValgeKotkas: This is overall mileage, I'm sure it would be hard to figure out highway/city mileage seperate as I drive highway and city.

Supramacist: I just changed the rotor out not too long ago, my distributor cap itself was nearly perfect, the rotor needed replacing though. And I'm running NGK plug wires/Autolite 3393 spark plugs. I guess the rotor finished off the tune-up.

I replaced my cap/rotor along with a full tune-up and went from 15 city/22 highway to 18city / 35 highway. And the highway speeds were at 80-100. At 60-80 mph I averaged 39mpg on a 500 mile trip. This is according to the supermonitor...did check it to be accurate though.
