ok so im reading 40 psi oil pressure at 3k COLD

then when it warms up im barely hittin 38 psi warm

i do have oil in my ic piping and full boost im hearin a loud like supercharger whine from the turbo. but would this cause low oil pressure?

i was under it and my oil pan looked like it domes up like a bottom of a pop can but no marks? is this how they are suppose to be??

lmk before i go upgradin and blowin a rod bearing

**valve cover gaskets replaced and new grommet seals so no oil leakage there:naughty:

Is your oil level going down? The pressure you're getting seems typical for MKIII's. As the oil heats up, it flows much easier, and pressure will drop significantly from cold readings. As for the whine, your turbo bearing may be shot. Take off the accordion pipe, and check the shaft for excessive radial, and axial play. Try turning the shaft as you move it, and if the compressor, or turbine blades start dragging on the housing, you definitely need a turbo.

or blowby which is normal to an extent.
mY stock gauge read very similar numbers to yours. Aftermarket reads a LOT different and the mechanical one matched the aftermarket.

It should be noted the stock one is good for developing a "norm". If you want to be accurate put a mechanical in there for testing.

I experience the same symptoms. Let me ask you this. Pay attention to your oil pressure and cut your a/c on full blast. Notice a more than 5 psi decline?

Oil pressure sounds like normal for a 7mgte. As for the the oil in you IC piping Im sure it is coming from a bad oring or seal in the turbo. If it is a light coating I wouldnt worry to much about it. Just check you oil before every time you drive.

Here's the TSRM spec for engine oil pressure:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=LU&P=4

Note the troubleshooting chart on the above page.

Yours is a touch low, but still in spec...a couple things to consider:
- The cooler circuit relief valve on the side of the oil filter housing. It should open at ~40 psi to send oil to the cooler...it's possible the spring is worn and it's opening early.

- The piston oil squirters also open at ~40 psi.

- The oil pump pressure relief valve spring is worn and opening at a lower pressure.

If your oil pan has a dome shaped dent in it, then something has hit it. The oil pump pick-up is in that area.
