My 7mgte starts and idles, revs, hauls ass and is a very reliable motor but now that summertime's here and temps are soaring, the return to idle after cruising or haulin' it can bring the RPM's to die on a upward hill or sputter to 3,4,500 before returning to 6-650. Have there been any experiences similar to this and is it a VSV no functioning. I have no codes.

Heat is pretty tough on electronics. And electrical components. You can try a nonconformist test if you want. It requires your buddy. When you pull in hot, keep the engine speed up and pop the hood. Have someobody tap on the solenoid lightly when the speed is down to see if it is sticking. This might not show you anything at all, but is an easy check. Then you can look at other things. Such as, is the throttle plate clean?

This past weekend I swapped out the TPS because the contact solders connecting to the resistor board came loose and it threw a code sometimes and it would idle really high. The contacts inside were sorta sprung against the board so I could get out and flick the TPS with my finger and it would bog and act wierd. Anyways having replaced it she idles really good unless it's 100 degrees like it has been here recently and it will tend to be just a hair low and threaten to die on hills on the way back to idle. Also the j-tube delete I did and the 255lph fuel pump and Aeromotive FPR could be allowing too much back to the tank. Maybe I could up the pressure a bit!!

No need to up the pressure. The regulator controls how much pressure and what to send back. With the bigger pump you need the j tube drilled or by passed or else you will run stupid rich.
