lots of smoke at idle and oil in dp

i have noticed my car burning oil for about a month now. it started with justed a little smoke at idle and now its constantly smokeing at idle. there was also alot of oil pooled in the elbow of the stock downpipe but none in the exhaust manifold.

what can cause this the turbo only has about 3000 miles on it and some side to side shaft play.

thats what i thought but theres no shaft play and the shop that rebuilt insists that i have to much blowby. but my compression is around 155 on all cylinders.

your turbo seals are leaking or somthing. sounds like a bad turbo to me. if it was coming form the cylinders it would be in the mani, or burnt in the mani anyway. or maybe a crack in the turbo housing itsself? its either coming from the turbo, or the cylinders.

before i took the turbo off i unbolted it from the manifold essentially creating a big exhaust leak pre turbo and there was no smoke before the turbo just after. i guess i just answered my question thanks

Was the turbo just rebuilt? Who did the rebuilding? What are the specs on the turbo?

the turbo only has 3000 miles since rebuild and 750 mile break in. az turbo and tractor did the rebuild they are highly recommended in az. and it was just a stock rebuild i never whent over ten pounds on this turbo.
