The ebay y-pipe is a nice concept, but with construction befitting the price. You'll have a few headaches here and there (like the exhaust, mine just became a pain in the ass bolt back on), but it's worth it in the end. Steel was a bit thin on mine so we used header wrap to try and contain the heat to the pipes. As for the gasket you're missing, you're describing where the intake pipes meet up to the front of the turbo inlet, correct? I was unaware that there even was a gasket there... we used FIPG on mine.

FIPG? what's that? yeah the y pipe is a headache only issue i'm having with mine is the part that comes with it (the long pipe) doesn't seem to bolt up right and hits against the bottom of the firewall so i took a hammer to it to help the clearance issue but it still fits funny... any of you guys have this issue?

yea mine hits the car as well which makes it not line up very well, but the crazy thing is it does not even come close to being able to bolt up from being two inches to short!

te72~ it was a tuff fit getting the y pipe on but after alot of banging, grinding and nuckle busting i got it all wrenched down tight, i used the best header wrap i cold find on it as well. did your's fit up to the cat or test pipe? or is mine the only one having this problem because it fit with the stock set up. thanks for responding fellas!

deranged soul~you can ask the seller if its the new and improved design, were fitment is not as much of a problem. but i think getting a down pipe and high flow cat with a free flowing exhaust will be alot less stress and just as good! i am taking my time with my budget build, so its not that big of a deal to me.

te-72~ i didnt think there was a gaset either, (as i dont loose stuff like that in my supra dedicated garage) but i started to inspect the rear turbo and it seemed to have one but i never too that turbo off so im not realy sure if they do have gaskets for that area. anyone else want to chime in on this? it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Mine fits up to my test pipe, but the angling of the flange on the rear of the down pipe is a bit off, so it makes it a rather tight fit. Oddly enough I think I might have gotten your couple inches that you're missing, mine stretches the catback rearward a bit further than I realized, the rubber donut hangers are stretched toward the back of the car...

Didn't have to bang up my firewall, although it seems that everybody's pipe is ever-so-slightly different from what I've seen.

FIPG = Form In Place Gasket. It's great stuff, everybody should have a few tubes! Comes in handy more often than you might think. Also quite handy if you wanna hold a gasket in place while you put the bolts through. ;)
