Loping idle and black smoke?

Guy every now and then ill be at a stop light and my car will start loping and black smoke will come out of the exhaust. But i will give it a little rev and it will stop loping and the smoke will go away. ANY ideas what this is guys I need help and the car is stock.AM I running rich?

black smoke.. you are running stupid rich at that point. I wonder if your decel diaphram is working that is on the throttle body if it is working.

stock you mean ZERO mods correct? No BOV venting to atmosphere?

no mods at all where is the decel diaphram?

he means clean your throttle body. carbeurator cleaner and a tooth brush. i'll post what i posted in your other link

wouldn't hurt to check your throttle body bore, use carbeurator cleaner and a toothbrush. (this is for both)

check your air filter, timing belt, check for vaccum leaks (hissing sound), leaking head gasket.. and check your engine oil, coolant level, and other fluids..."

sounds like your AFM might be on its way out.

But you need to run the diagnostic between T1 and TE1 terminals and see if any codes pop up.

You may have some in hiding LOL.
