Looking to get 17" wheels/tires for my 89 NA Supra

i figure 17" would be a good size.. not sure if 18" is too big or not.
anyway, what sort of dimensions/specs should i look for for both the wheels & tires needed?

17x8's for the front 17x9's for the rear 235/45/17 rubber allround and around a +35 offset for the wheels.

235's on a 9 inch rim? I dunno about that. I would do 245 fronts and 265 rears but thats just me.

I have some at home sitting in the garage waiting to go on the MK2, little bit of stretch but aparts from that they look sweet:love:

For an NA you really don't want much more then a 235 on it, wider tyres just mean it'll aqau plane easier in the wet, they'll cost more and its more likely to tramline and follow ruts in the road.

okie doke.. that gives me an idea thanks.

what if i want to go with 18" ? my Supra is also white(for now) & thinking maybe black or gold would be a good color for the rims(eventually want to get my car painted either a neon green sort of color or possibly hot pink)...

17's with lo-pro tires were too small for me. I'd go 18's
