I hate to post another help thread, I know all of you hate it but look: I bought a 1jzgte from tiger japan claiming that it was from an mk3 but with my meager auto experience, it might actually be a soarer 1jz(STILL NOT CERTAIN). It came with the ecu and harness, m/t R154 and of course, the ignitor plugs were snipped off. I bought the driftmotion 1j/2j igniter. I scoured three local yards and found only 2 supras and no other vehicles with a 1j/2j so I don't have pigtails. The colors of the wires are as follows:
3 small black w/ orange line and silver dots
1 large black with red line
1 large black plain
2 medium black w/ red line and silver dots
1 small black w/ red line and silver dots
2 small black w/ silver dots
1 small white w/ silver dots
1 small black w/ yellow line silver dots
1 OFF WHITE small
2 small white with black line and silver dots
1 small blue with silver dots
1 small blue with black line and silver dots
1 blue with yellow line
1 blue with white line and silver dots
1 yellow with green line
1 yellow
1 yellow with red line
1 yellow with black line
1 small green
1 red with yellow line and silver
1 red with white line and silver
1 red with black line and silver
1 red with green line and silver
1 brown with silver dots
Some of these wires go to the fuse box and some to the ignitor, and also a couple to the noise filter. there's also a resistor that hangs out on top of the strut tower.
The reason I posted all these is that hopefully someone with the same motor harness has one in their car and can provide some insight. Try not to hassle me about not searching, Ive been searching and fucking around for days and am really frustrated. Please note again, this is my first swap and I'm at the last step to being complete aside from finding an R154 driveshaft.
If nothing else, if there's someone near calvert county maryland, I'll gladly provide booze if you can help. PM for my phone number if you like. Thank you so much! Let's get another clean mk3 on the road!
EDIT: This is the style 1jz that has the short valve cover breather, not the longer one if that helps.
