Well....technically i had it done up by a friend. It still needs to be ported out but this is definitley a big step in getting this done.

This is actually going on my friend bills car....

the 1 and 2 runners mated up almost perfectly...as did the 5 and 6...it was the 3 and 4 that were slightly off...but nothing that cant be ported to damn near perfection so no problems here.

The piece that allows us to bolt on a 2jz intake manifold onto the 7m head:

hmm.. i wonder if there is anywhere farther out you could have cut them so that they would mate nicer? if you cut it the way you did in order to make it as short as possible, maybe there is a longer way of cutting it that would produce a smootehr transition? because short runners isn't always neccessarily the most ideal setup. especially on turbo cars, longer runners can be more efficient. Or at least, thats something i've heard.

How so? Obviously you noticed the problem with it too. I dont really see what relevance me using a ffi has either. Are you going to come up with some great remark if I dont?:dunno:

you were just quick to criticize and wondered if you had made something better.

I only noticed the problem because I talked to the guy who made it last night and he wasn't pleased with how it lined up one bit ;) Once it is cleaned up it'll look great.

imo why do this when you can get a ffi sheetmetal intake mani made for fairly cheap, probably flows better as well.

That is my thoughts as well. I even wonder what the difference in how well the 2j one flows vs. the 7m one. I bet it isn't worth the hassle. At least it'll clean up the bay.

I think it might be a little cheaper in the long run to use the 2jz plenum, besides, it won't scream "modified!!!" whenever you pop the hood, so it'll retain some sleeper status still.

it lines up fine kelly....like isaid... 1 and 2 and 5 and 6 line up damn near perfectly...and 3 and 4 just need a little porting to be smooth.... the outside looks worse then the inside is....

and lets see...cost from doing what we are doing with a 2j manifold is about 300 TOTAL..... and the cheapest custom one is about 700.... soooo yeah.

also the 2j manifold flows more and is worth the hassle.
