I paid for this a couple weeks ago; but, couldn't pick it up until yesterday.

It is a Maha equipped with a twin rollers and an Eddy Current Load/Brake. It came with a 60 mph fan, wheel chocks, steering wheel lock, gas pedal lock, and software. I still have to get the sensors. I think I'm going to make my own though.

Yep. That's it sitting on the floor of my garage. My garage is 38x38 and it fits nicely in the third bay.

It weighs approximately 2700 pounds and was a bear to move let me tell ya!

Sorry the garage is such a mess. School has kept me waaaay too busy to clean it. ;)

Obviously tuning; but, when I get it all figured out and calibrated I plan on availing it to the public to help offset some of the cost.

There are only two dynos in the area. Both charge the same. $125.00 for three pulls. That is just outrageous!!!!

What power/speed is it rated for?

Here's the technical data. Mine is the 2700.

EDIT: It is rated for 260Kw which is 348.6657 hp/124.2742 mph. I'm not sure at what load that calculation is made.

There is a company that I've been working with that can write a software package that will make calculations from the roller diameter and weight. This calculation will be made with no load so there's more potential than the stated 348.

The Eddy Current brake will absorb 150hp @ 100mph.

if you don't mind me asking how much did that set you back?

Not at all. I bought it from a friend who owns a shop for $3k.

He said that he paid ~ $31k for it about two years ago. That was just for the dyno. The fans, clamps, chocks, etc... were all extra.

The dyno has only seen 41 pulls.

Nice pick up! I bet in no time you max it out with your supra. Since your already at 294 and I have a feeling you will find 50 more hp in no time.

Yeah. My Maft-Pro, 550's, and Walbro will be going in soon.

I'm still gathering info. So far, it looks like it'll be good for more. Just not sure how much yet and I don't want to post wrong info.

What I can say though, is that it's looking pretty promising. :)

348 HP ain't much, but then again it's more than a lot of cars have. Once you have it all set up you can make yourself a pretty penny. Charge half what the local dyno shops charge. You can handle the cars below 348 HP, they can handle anything above that. Tell John Reed about your dyno once you have it all set up, that way whenever he's tuning in your area he can use your dyno.

$3k!

DANG, that would be an awesome N/A tuner, since you're not gonna find a Supra that will peg that thing without a hairdryer or nitrous. :sarcasm: Me wants...mmm

i'll wait for the thread where he posts that his turbo diesel truck either maxed out the dyno, or just broke it... haha

I'll be sure to video tape the whole thing so I can become a 'Youtube' Celebrity! :)
