LOL okay I'm outside tuning my MAFT pro trying to fine tune the idle and the tip-in/out finally got it where I want.. and turned the car off to go get a drink (ITS HOT AS HECK OUT HERE) as I'm walking away I realize 2 things..

1)Car is still running... okay no big deal, its a turbo car w/ a TT... Refer to 2

2) I'm not hearing the normal BEEP... BEEP.. BEEP of the TT counting down.. So I poke my head back into car.. and the TT is off. so now i'm thinking WTF!

reflexivly I popped my circuit breaker for my main line from batter.. CLICK.. CLICK.. CLICK.. that SOB is still running!!! I'm trying to quickly run through my head how the alternator is wired to keep it running but I drew a blank at the moment, so I opened and SLAMMED shut the TB a few times.. after the 5th time I finally managed to Choke it to death lol.

I'm currently troubleshooting the issue now.. will post details later as I did a quick search and... searched "Car won't turn off" "car Won't shut off" "car still runs" and got a ton of extra crap I wasn't looking for. (hence the long title) any input is appreciated.

next time block off the isc and pcv ports :)

damn... that woulda worked.. scept after the car is warmed up I"m pretty sure the ISC valve closes. but at the least the PCV would have b een a good choice.

***update:: went outside to try and trace down the issue. couldn't find anything.. So I decided to duplicate the problem... WOn't do it.. now i'm confused.

was it normal running, or dieseling?

I would like to say normal running. as my accessories/gauges were still on. almost like I left the key in the on position

Pulling the injector fuse didn't come to mind? ;)

that actually did, but my fuses are a pain to get out.

Did you lose the Fuse Tweezers from under the fuse box lid?

Dash was still on?

Sounds like ignition switch

Yeah thats wht I was starting to lean towards. thinking maybe a short in the ignition switch (hell it is 22 years old) that or maybe something w/ the turbo timer harness.

but w/o being able to duplicate the problem I can't really troubleshoot it at the moment. So i'm just waiting till it does it again.

That happened to me in my second POS. I changed the ignition switch from my first one sitting beside it. It solved the problem, until then I just stalled it out.

I had the same thing except I managed to actually turn the engine off but didn't notice acc was still on.

Found out some retard thought cable tying on my ignition would be a great idea!
When I pushed in the key I managed to just turn it off but also push it away from the barrel so the key couldn't reach and turn it off.. 2 screws = win! :)

Okay well all this is taking a back seat at the moment as a new issue from an older problem popped up.
