alright! so after a while of having my car and having no power at ALL.. i decided that something was wrong... and that i wanted TONS of power... we hope not so much that i wrap around a tree though!!
anyway, i decided to pop a MHG on and fix what needed fixed on the way, along with some new bearings and rings and such, and some other little goodies that will be added along the way
so i start by pulling the motor.... well first problem i found was the elbow and the dp werent all that torqued down very well... got the motor out, started pulling it apart. well the intake side looked like everything was good and intact! except for a knock sensor that was cracked at the end (pics for that tomorrow) and the knock sensor wire that is bare... pic below.
okay, so next side! the turbo wastegate door flap doo-dad has 3 small cracks, been working fine so ill drive her till she dies, it didnt look too major either.
pics of that later
then, turns out the turbo bolts were very loose... not finger loose. and the exhaust mani was very loose also, one bolt was parshly unscrewed. and 90% of the studs decided to come out on the exhaust side, just unscrewed though, but ill prolly helicoil them anyway.
the headgasket looks to be intact for the most part! heres some pics.. updates soon!!
Loki
