This has been in my car sicne day one. you always haveto start the car and crank it for 2 seconds. it will not start if you do it the first time and if it does by chance, it usually dies. soemtimes it will start though. but if i crank it for 2 seconds, wait, then start it again, it will fully start up, idle fine and everything. anyone know what coudl be the problem with this?
edit: battery is new. alternator is fine but i woulndt see that as a problem.

i have this problem with mine. today i turned the ignition to ON for 5-10 sec to run the fuel pump for a bit before starting the car and it started up perfect. does this point to fuel pump or maybe fuel lines?
other then that the car runs fine (just a little rich). there is also a guy on supraforums.com.au with the same problem a few weeks back (thats where i got the idea to do the ignition thing). cant remember what he did tho.

EDIT: link to SF.com.au thread http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=17032
