Come to a stop. Rev in neutral to about 4k rpm, and drop the clutch. Hold the accelerator to the floor for a moment, and let off.. See if you left one or two stripes.

It's like a pregnancy test, really.

VERY easy way to tell: Jack up the rear, put the car in gear (enigne off) and see if you turn either of the rear wheels with the parking brake off. If you can, the opposite wheel will turn the other way, and you do not have LSD. If the axles seem locked to each other (if you can't spin either rear wheel) you do have LSD.

Go to ford and ask for friction modifier and use a couple ounces.

Also Ask them for 75W-90.

Shouldn't need more than an oz ;)
I'd start with 1/2 oz and go from there.

i like your theory, except 1st is more fun, see after you run out of steam you can go to 2nd, its like tetris.. my best is level 3...

Bringing an old thread back. I added the specific amount of diff fluid. I went with MOTUL 75w-90 oil ( synthetic blend). I've heard that the MA70 turbo diff with lsd doesn't like anything synthetic. True? I was thinking that I might switch out for some regular Valvoline 75w-90 weight if this is the case.

Unless you mix two of the same brand...start with one quart of Redline 75W-90NS and top off with 75W-90. A lot of sucess with this one.

I use straight RL 75W-90 on a rebuilt TRD LSD...no issues at all.

crap i added 2 oz of the lsd additive. start with 1/2 oz huh? might have to drain and refill.

No chatter, or slipping for that matter. But i dont usually lay down rubber either...

I just bought all new clutches for my LSD from Champion and he said to use the Royal Purple 75W-90, isn't that synthetic. I and rebuilding it so as to get out of the corners better during autocross meets. I hope it works
