i've heard that using a mid 90's Lexus SC400 AFM in the mk3's will allow more air and what not:naughty: well anyways, i was wanting to know what people know about it...becausing i am planning on buyin this because the Bosch 110 i bought...i am wanting to run it as vented...not to recirculate...and obviously the there is no air there when the computer expects it...so it goes retarded and starts idling weird and stalling for a split second after i get on it. well, anyways, LET ME KNOW:wiggle:

Well, no. The Lex AFM does not let more fuel in. It is an airflow meter. It is larger than stock. So the airflow reading is actually lower than what is going in. This delays boost cut from the computer. If you run the Lex AFM, you need to change to 550cc injectors to prevent a lean condition. So no, it doesnt let more fuel in.

Why vent to atmosphere? So you can sound like a ricer?

noooo...its not that. i wont lie, i love the sound of it as atmospheres, but it doesn't sound like a ricer...i wont lie, i like hearing the sound of PSHHHHH sssssssssss more than i do hearing ch-ch-ch-ch-ch...BUT, i've always put performance in front of anything...so my maint point was to ask...is there a way that i can make my car perform the same as if it were to recirculate? thanks.
