no. i think the general consensus is you tune for the changes the lex afm makes by using an afpr. no real need for the screw.

however, an AFPR is a good tool for rough tuning. if you search around for my dyno thread, you can see how much horsepower i gained simply by playing with the fuel pressure. (*don't mess with fuel pressure unless you have a wideband o2 sensor)

hey mate - do u know how to measure voltage of lexus afm /550cc combination.... do safc display this info.. reading reg reimer he says to measure voltage across vf1 and E1 but im assuming this voltage changes through out the rev range?? can u help me out on this 1.. bout to head out tuning but would like to sort this out..

atm screw is pretty much all the way in and im havung to compensate about -15% on safc jjust to get it into the low 11:1 and high 10:1 zone

so i have fully opened the screw and have added 10 percent across entire reange of safc corrections to see if i can get a constant 11.5-12:1 tune throughout the rev range withouth having to correct the safc greater then plus or minus 10..

does this sound correct to u

Disturbed1, I am having the same issue as you. I also backed the screw all the way out and had to add back % with afc but with setting like that I hit fuel cut at like 14.6psi. Do you hit fuel cut with screw backed all the way out?

just got back from tune - with sscrew all the way out (well at least i think so) i manaaged to get 11.5 :1 ratios however im still adding about 13 percent on safc from like 2600-6000 rpm... im having a lfew boost problems atm so im just running external gate on its lowest setting - eboost2 totally disconnected and consequently running 9.6 psi

what turbo are you runing, just trying to figure out why I hit fuel cut so soon. I cant run with afm screw all the way out with out hiting fuel cut. This is on a sp58gt.

^^^i should mention that im running 40 psi fuel pressure until i get my reg sometime next week.. with my boost my trust type r gate had a red 0.8-1.2 bar spring in it.. with the adjustment all the way out (lowest boost setting) which i would expect to be roughly .8bar is actually 9.8 psi, if i preload the spring say half way id expect to run about 1 bar however i only run about 12 psi boost.. if i screw it in 2/3rd of the way, i still only manage to get 12 psi from the time i make boost (approx 3000) all the way till approx 5500rpm then boost starts to creep upward to around 14-15 psi at 6000 rpm until i back off

can anyone explain this - have people had problems with ebay 7mgte manifold boost creeping at high rpms.... its as though high rpm where more exhaust gases are emmitted is holding the gate shut again.. its weird.. if its not the manifold - could it perhaps be that im not running a creemer pipe.. i just have the wastegate externally mounted and the gasses leave the gate and hit the downpipe - maybe this might effect things but i hardly doubt it... i was under the impression that higher boost would be easier to keep stable as the gate doesnt have to bleed as much air as it would otherwise if i have a big turbo set at 8 psi
