Lexus AFM?? What does it do?

Hey guys, sorry for posting this, i tried searching couldnt find it. I may even already kno but i just want to for sure. What does the LExus afm do exactly for a MK3 supra? And what Lexus does it come off of, IS300? SC430? etc etc.
Now in my expreience it would add more fuel to the equation(i.e with 240s running low boost turbos they would just grab a maxima afm 25% more fuel for 25% for air) or is there more to it than that? if anyone could answer this for me, greatly appreciated...thanks for bearin with me.

It is the V8 lexus afm so it would be the one out of sc 400 or any other v8 lexus engine. You are pretty much on the right track. Lex afm= 25% more air, paired with 550s = 25% more fuel. There is a little more to it than that, because you have to upgrade your fuel pump and do other supporting mods to your car. Hope that helps a little, there are alot more knowledgeable guys here than me, so i sure your question will be answered in its entirety by days end.

search some as this has been beat to death.

it is essencially the same as the maxima mod you did on the 240. the lex is 25% bigger and u need 25% bigger injectors to compensate

hey thanks for being a dick, but i under stand the lex afm being used is from a 4L v8 engine, hell had one in my hand the other day at school. but thats besides the point, im already running map based and could care less about an afm.


josh here in vancouver has talked to some one at rrev who showed him around their shop, while talking about an upgrade path, rrev suggest to get a lex afm and injectors from that car, told him to look for a lex with a n/a 2j in it since it had 530 low ipd injectors. and a matched afm..

sorry i didn't go further into detail ,
what im asking is if this is truth or lie, so i can keep a friend wisely buying parts.

neither talking of the twin turbo or a toyota car, im talking about the lex's that have 2j's in them usdm spec karmen style afm and injectors.
