I have a Lex unit and was woundering besides raising F/C what other function would the scew serve in tunning the engine? Does it make a car run richer or leaner depending on the screw position? I just left mine stock setting for now, Whats the deal? I tryed looking it up but couldent find anythin. Could somone please exaplin exactly what adjusting it in or out does? THX!

It makes it run leaner cause more air is coming into the engine, but the air is unmetered so the ECU doesn't know to add more fuel. More air + same amount of fuel = leaner. Our cars run rich anyway so turning out the screw on the stock unit isn't bad. I would upgrade the fuel system before I put the Lexus unit on. You don't *need* to, but as a precaution, I would.

I dont understand because the O2 sensor would read and make adjustments so whatever the computer wants to see for a air/fule ratio it will make. So by adding more unmetered air the 02 would send a leaner signal and the computer would add more fule untill it saw the mixture it wanted
