I picked up a lex afm and went to install it(in the accordian hose) but the diameter is a lot larger than the stock 7m one.How have ppls gotten around this and can anyone explain how they installed theirs?

ya might wanna start by putting a lil bit of trans fluid or wd-40(or your favorite type of auto lube) on the inside of the acordian tube. and maybe just a lil around the afm. then you just have to make it fit in there.

i like the trans fluid method cuz it seems to make it slide in a little bit easier / softens up the acc. tube just a little bit to allow the bigger afm.

thats my opinion. worked for me.

Ya, I also lubed mine up too. I also used a flat-head screwdriver to help expand the accordian hose (just a little force, just enough).

I manages to squeeze him in the accordian hose. Its about 2yrs old so its still pliable.Had to play around with the fuel press to get it to run ok.It needs a tune now (wish my safc didnt get stolen now) but i wait till i put in my new motor.
