hey im new to supras so i dont really know much about them. i bought an 87 turbo 7mgte not to long ago it came with little problems here and there everything is pretty much fixed its just the the car was acting really wierd, it wouldnt idle good and sometimes it wouldnt turn on. i took it to a buddy to get diagnosed and he said it was the afm. so i herd that you can change it for the lex v8 afm. well here is my question would i need to uprage the injectors also? or can i just get a walbro fuel pump? or do i need both? right now i just have an hks bov, 3'catback exhaust, bigger intercooler, and a boost controler. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks..:1zhelp:

You really need both (lex afm & larger pump),
and something to tune them with, like a S-AFC.

Most likely, by using just the S-AFC, you could get the stock injectors to work,
but I have never tried it,
and it can, and will run lean without dialing in more fuel with the S-AFC.

Lean is BAD !:aigo:
So don't atempt without having a goos A/F ratio meter.

I know everyone else is going to tell you otherwise, but I have been running a Lex AFM and stock injectors for over 4 years, and I drive around with my LM1 WB on ALL THE TIME and its perfect. I leave the WB on for when I turn up the boost, don't want to lean it out. 487rwhp at 23 psi on stock ECU with FCD and secret sauce.

^ and the whole purpose of the lex afm was to raise fuel cut with out a FCD, when you add fuel with a piggy back you LOWER fuel cut.
Im sure your aware of this but for 90% of the people that put parts on and go,, its not advised

lex afm, wide band, and a afpr and you'll be fine. unless you have wideband to see your air/fuel ratio and a afpr to control fuel pressure, you have more of a possibly of running lean epically if your on stock turbo and somewhat stock boost.
