so yesterday at autocross i was at the beginning of a run. i nailed it in 1st went past the timing gate to start my run. hit 2nd and in the process of shifting to second i TORE THE FUCKING SHIFT KNOB OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! :aigo:

i made it into gear but definately fuked that run up. was a little distracting lol. i was using the stock shifter off the first mk3 i bought. i pulled the plastic threads right out. it used to be in great shape but i race my car A LOT and drive the shit out of it. that shifter has served me well but its time for a new one. i know some shift knobs can be super ricer and that isn't what im looking for. i was just gonna buy a new oem toyota one but champion wants 109 for one so if im gonna spend that much then i want to see what else is out there. haven't really ever had the need to get one so i don't know much about where to buy and what knob fits the mk3 well. so im open to hear what knob you have on your supra? where you got it? price? and pic of it installed would be cool to. i really would prefer one that has metal threads and not plastic like the oem knob...

It's weighted, it's leather, it's quality, it's TRD, you're welcome. Can't find any good installed pictures atm, I know Flange has a few but I cant track them down atm.

Try a TRD knob, they feel great, look OEM (ish), and are made for our cars..

I broke the plastic threads off a Razo shift knob in my 89 by tighening the screw too much. Otherwise, never had an issue with it..

Got it maybe a year ago, it is a genuine TRD. The stickers are still on it but they try to slide off on me in the heat.
Weird I've never experienced that.

Haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but the price is in the neighborhood of half what the new stock one was quoted
IIRC in the realm of $80 if I'm not mistaken.

:kaboom:My moto when I was younger was... Anytime, anywhere, and anything with 4 wheels. I too raced a lot. I bought the TRD shift knob and I love it. Never stripped it... No matter how many gears I grabbed. :icon_bigg
