Leftover BHG repair issues

I've got an 88 7MGTE. I got 1/2 way through a BHD repair a couple of years ago, when having to stop for new job requirements. I have everything back together with a metal HG and ARP studs. It sounds great in the driveway, but there remains a few issues I could really use help with.
1 - While accelerating from a stop, it seems as though there is power, but as soon as turbo pressure comes up, the engine bogs down. There is an associated hiss which I am assuming is the wastegate opening? This my first turbo so I am a bit green with the technology
2 - I cannot for the life of me find where to attach the compressor cluch lead

Any help ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

If you are still using the stock bov, take it off and blow through it. It should hold quite well. They get pooched after awhile. I'd set up a boost leak tester and check all piping as well. gl.

Thanks for the reply. I can't find a picture of the stock bov. This is a pic of an add-on bov but there is nothing on the piping of my stock model where this one is attached. Can you give me some idea as to where the stock bov is located?

Also, to everyone else that may be reading this thread, the compressor connection I am looking for is for the AC compressor clutch. Sorry for the poor proofing.

Thanks

no engine lights? does it blow smoke when this happens?

could be 1 of 2 things (i doubt bov)

boost leak (metered air is being vented)
detonation sensor

boost leak is when metered air escapes and is not ignited which increases the air fuel ratio and runs like shit because the mixtures are all wrong

knock sensor will prevent boost because it believes detonation is occouring (will give you engine light)

did you use new gaskets on the intake manifold? i had a bad leak because the gasket i used tore and it was as you described.

no smoke, no engine lights, no codes. Just a pretty good hiss whenever it gets close to 3 psi of boost. As long as I keep the boost down everything runs pretty smooth.
