ummm......

What exactly do they do for our cars? Overlays that speedhut already does?

Did you not check out the video? Nope..Not just overlays. They change the stock gauge cluster lighting with LED's. These are complete upgrade that changes the needle, blinker, redline colors to what you want. They can change the tach color at specified RPMS etc. I'm sure its all custom & you have to send them in the entire cluster for the to upgrade. As I'm waiting on a reply from them on cost. I'm sure if there is enough interest they will make ones for our cars like Speed Hut did for the Overlays & Loteck did on the piller pod.

Keith-

I know about SpeedHut & have been considering them but they don't solve the problem with the needle color, they are also not as bright as LED's. At least from what I have seen.

I did my own LED upgrades and gauge faces on the MKIV.

It's pretty easy to do this stuff yourself:

I wonder how green LEDs would look? Think they would be too bright?

My LED's work through the dimmer switch. :) You just have to use the right resistors.

Full bright they are pretty damned blinding - at full low they are fine for driving on a dark road.

That looks very nice!! I have looked into this & still may go this rout. All the info to do this on the A70 is in this thread http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76463. I'm concerned with color of the needles. I want them bright & to stand out. With the DIY LEDs that won't happen unless you pull the cluster apart & install smaller leds which makes it not so DIY for me. Also light saturation & bleed off is still a problem on some gauges & not yet worked out. Its a great thread, I'm just looking at all options. Also the way Ledmod.com has worked out color variations & color changes in each gauge is very impressive & looks Bad Ass to me. You wont get that by just swapping LED's for 194's & 74's in stock locations.

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) will fully dim an LED much better than resistors, but resistors can help too. :)

I just installed one in the mkIII today and will be updating it's application in the Lighting Thread.

It's very cool to be able to dim LED's down to a tiny, fraction of light.
